Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Melt Cast Process Metallurgist includes but is not limited to: developing practices to improve safety, quality, efficiency, yield, productivity, and costs; developing and optimizing operating procedures; minimizing variability in the production process; coordinating with suppliers to develop steel grades for specialized applications; providing training to operating & maintenance teammates; providing metallurgical assistance to technical service representatives and customers; and utilizing statistical process control tools to direct continuous improvement activities. Moderate travel is expected. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Material Science Engineering, or similar technical field
Preferred Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in steel manufacturing and/or quality.
Process background in EAF, LMF, and continuous casting.
Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO/TS/IATF 16949, ISO 17025 Quality Management Systems.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
